  • Sarangkot (1530m)
  • Kaskitkot (1788m)
  • Phedi (1450m)
  • Dhampus (1775m)

This can be an extra walking day, from Pokhara up to Sarangkot, Kaskikot, to the road then Phedi and Dhampus (Lampus.) From Dhampus to Phedi will be many lodges. This part of the trek does not require a ACAP Permit.  Alternatively you can take a taxi or bus to Phedi or Birethanti.

Day 2 Dhampus - Landrung - Chomrong

  • Dhampus (1775m)
  • Landrung (1640m)
  • New Bridge (1340m)
  • Chomrong (2170m)

This is an extra day or two add to the Poon Hill trek. This is not the direct way but it is better to acclimatize. You can stay in Landrung or Ghandrung or all the way to the start of the ABC at Chomrong. Near Landrung are the local honey collectors. Chomrong has nice guesthouse accommodations. You could also stay in Landrung then go to Tatopani and Ghorapani that way.

Day 1 - Birethanti - Poon Hill

  • Birethanti (1080m)
  • Ulleri (2080m)
  • Banthanti (2800m)
  • Gorepani (3195m) Means 'black water'
  • Poon Hill (3210m)

You can take a taxi or bus directly to Birethanti then walk along stone steps to Ulleri (2000m) or Banthanti (2300m). This is the fastest way to Poon Hill.

Day 2 to Ghorapani (3195m), this is big village.

Day 3 early morning go to Poon Hill (3210m).  You may get altitude problems however, you can always go down to Chitre or Banthanti and get your head together.

Day 4 Poon Hill  - Tatopani

  • Poon Hill (3210m)
  • Ghorepani (3195m)
  • Chitre (2350m)
  • Sikha (1980m)
  • Ghara (1700m)
  • Tatopani (1190m) means 'hot water'

From Poon Hill to Ghorapani. Long knee breaker steps lead down through the world deepest gorge, Chitre, Sikha, Ghara are pleasant village along the way. Tatopani has hot springs and many guesthouses.

Day 1 Pokhara - Beni - Tatopani

  • Tatopani (1190m)

  • Beni (900m)

  • Pokhara (880m)

This could also be day 4 or 5 ending the Poon Hill Trek or can start from here to Poon Hill or Jomoson. Long bus or taxi Pokhara-Beni. Jeeps go to Jomoson from here or walk to Tatopani.  From Tatopani to Beni is very flat and will not be a tiring walk. At least we hope not.

Day 2 follow above map of Poon Hill - Tatopani.

That's it if you want to do more trekking you could go up to Jomson or the ABC.
